I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC in private practice. I bring over 16 years of extensive experience in the mental health and personal growth fields. I practice from a trauma-informed lens to provide a warm and welcoming space. I work with adults, groups and facilitate workshops for individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, low-mood or depression, relationship challenges, grief and loss. I also provide therapy for pain and stress management particularly after an accident or trauma or due to being a first responder. I offer mentoring and intuitive life coaching. I provide counselling in English and Spanish.
I use a holistic and integrative approach to counselling that includes mindfulness, breath work, resiliency enhancement and other evidence-based modalities. I see myself as someone who holds space with empathy and mindfulness, creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can reconnect with themselves, to know they are not alone. Together, my clients and I navigate their healing journey—on their timeline and in the direction they choose. My role is to walk beside them, offering guidance, options, and suggestions that honor the body’s wisdom. I remain attuned to how the body responds, allowing the body to lead the way toward the most appropriate directions. As a practitioner, I am here to support the flow of each person’s unique path.
My practice is organic and evolves based on each individual and each session. While there are consistent elements aimed at helping clients build a greater capacity to connect with their bodies, our work is always guided by your own unique needs and rhythms. Rooted entirely in Integrative Somatic Therapy Practice (ISTP™), my approach incorporates a range of supportive modalities including mindfulness, breathwork, gentle touch, ceremony, music, resilience enhancement, movement, integrative processing, integrative restorative yoga, and integrative Thai yoga massage.
I support individuals to connect with themselves and support individuals to slow down, heal, and move forward — even when said movement invites them into discomfort. Healing is not linear, and I am here to walk alongside you through the natural flow of your process.
Because my practice is solely grounded in ISTP™, when a client’s needs shift more towards cognitive or verbal processing, I remain available to support — and recognizing my scope of practice, when appropriate, I will refer to other professionals. This is why I’ve chosen to work within a community of practitioners, including Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs), to allow for seamless referrals when talk therapy or deeper psychological support is needed. This does not mean I step away or hand you off — instead, we collaborate to surround you with a supportive cocoon of care, ensuring your journey remains grounded, held, and integrated.
I hold a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a major in Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In addition to my academic background, I have completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training through VNYSA School of Yoga, as well as an additional 200 hours of training in Integrative Restorative Yoga and 200 hours in Integrative Thai Yoga Massage, both through the Mandorla Yoga Institute. While I maintain my nursing license and continue to practice as a nurse, it’s important to make clear I do not draw upon my nursing knowledge, skills, or judgment when providing ISTP™ care.
Currently, I am a somatic practitioner trained in ISTP™ (T-ISTP™) having completed Levels 1 and 2 through the Integrative Somatic Studies Institute. I have continued my studies to complete Level 3 which will lead to me becoming a somatic practitioner certified in ISTP (C-ISTP™) at the end of my course requirements.
My journey into ISTP™ began with my own healing and a desire for change — a shift toward greater joy, balance, and meaning in both my personal and professional life. I was looking for my own healing and it began my own journey into what it is today, a new way to support others in their own journey of healing — whether clearly defined or still growing and evolving. Initially, I saw the training as an opportunity for personal learning and growth. However, during my Level 2 clinical practicum, I discovered a deep fulfillment in applying the principles of ISTP™ in practice and inspired me to take the leap and begin this new chapter in my life and career.

Trauma can become present in the body in a variety of ways; witnessing a violent or horrific event(s), car accidents, surgeries, serious sports injury(ies), being a soldier or civilian in war, being a first responder, being trafficked, as well as survivors of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Integrative Somatic Therapy Practice (ISTP)™ addresses trauma that shows up in the body, causing ailments that appear to have no medical rationale.
(ISTP)™ will holistically guide you through your healing process to recover your “inner compass.” You become empowered by learning techniques such as relaxation using the wisdom of yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, bodywork, and Somatic body-oriented processing.
